Betlem really is a good starting point for walks or cycle rides along the coast. One of the paths leads you to the bay of Punta d'es Calo, which is only 3 kilometres away and is perfect for a wonderful day at the beach. Shopping is best done just 4 km away, in Colonia de Sant Pere. Here you will find several supermarkets as well as bars and restaurants along a small beach and marina promenade. The location of Villa Pinomar, with its round tower and the Appalachian-like hill in the background, is both spectacular and very close to the sea. The idyllic village of Betlem belongs to the municipality of Artà and is just a few steps away from the sandy beach. Shopaholics will love Artà; we recommend you visit the market on Tuesdays too. You can also enjoy delicious fish in the nearby fishing village of Colonia de San Pere. There are several restaurants along the pretty harbour promenade.
