Summary: Wonderful place to stay in Nara, a beautiful traditional Japanese house, quiet, nice neighborhood, about 10-15 minutes walk to shopping and restaurant area, but we don’t mind the walk through the peaceful and beautiful alleys.

Summary: You need to be aware of other people. That´s it, just like you would do at home :)
They helped us in all they could and were truly interested in sharing with us.
If you decide to go, share with them your plans and things you would like to do, they know a lot of people and can point you in the right direction.
Would definitely go again!!!

Summary: My wife and I stayed here for one night and wish we could have stayed longer! The couple that owns this place are extremely nice and helpful. The Naramachi area is great for walking around and checking our the shops. And the building itself is beautiful with a ton of history. We booked a private room and it was well worth it.

Summary: Although this guesthouse has more dorm-style accommodation we stayed in a private traditional room, with two Japanese futons and lots of space ('deluxe room'), which I would highly recommend. There are only two showers downstairs with limited times to use them (early morning to 10am & 5pm-10:30pm) and food must be kept and eaten downstairs. This meant that the guests and hosts socialised quite a bit in the evening, either drinking tea whilst waiting for the shower to free up or eating snacks together.

Summary: Enjoyed our one night stay. It was fun staying in a ryokan. The place is well taken care of and the couple that runs the place takes great care and pride in their guesthouse.

Summary: We spent a cozy night here with comfortable bed. Warm greeting from the host and casual chatting with other guests did make this a home-like stay. Surely a nice place when we came to Nara next time.
