Summary: In an effort to be totally honest, I’m just not a big fan of the character in an older cottage type place. It felt cold and tired, but I’m sure others will view it as charm. I arrived fairly late, 8:45pm ish, the car park isn’t really a car park it’s a bit of a free for all so I had to squeeze my car in next to a bush, there was nobody around in reception so had to ring a buzzer and the guy was out quickly enough and he was very friendly. For me, it was Ok because I just wanted to arrive, get my head down, get up early for my flight, it was very convienient for this as it’s a 10min or so drive to Stansted. So all in all, convenient, reasonable price, but I’d definitely not stay here if I wasn’t catching a flight.
